The groups eligible for free flu vaccinations in 2023/24, based on advice and recommendations from the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI), are:

Those aged 65 years and over

  • Those aged six months to under 65 years in clinical risk groups 
  • Pregnant women
  • All children aged two or three years on August 31 2023
  • Primary school aged children 
  • Those in long-stay residential care homes
  • Carers in receipt of carer’s allowance, or those who are the main carer of an elderly or disabled person
  • Close contacts of immunocompromised individuals
  • Frontline workers in a social care setting without an employer led occupational health scheme 

 People aged 50-64 will not be eligible for a free flu jab in the 2023/24 season, under new flu vaccination plans.

Also you can have a booster Covid jab by walking in to  Cromwell Road surgery in Bushbury every Wednesday 9-6pm.
